There's nothing like traveling and experiencing the world when it's at your feet. This artist has moved to all major cities in the US, and she's got the talent and experience to show for it. Carrie Welling started singing when she was just 6 years old. Her father was a musician and influenced her music journey growing up. After high school, Carrie packed her bags and moved to the Big Apple to pursue her dreams. This 17-year-old had no idea the adventure she was in for. Carrie started by making a duo band called Vanity Bells. She had many memories that would last a lifetime and learned a lot from this group. Still, she decided to part and started another dream in San Diego, California.
While in San Diego, Carrie made it a point to sing at a beach bar (I love this vibe). She got many compliments telling her of her talent and how it needed to be pursued as a dream. Now, fast forward a few years, and Carrie is in Nashville, TN creating music that not only touches people but gives them the music that speaks to our soul.
Her song "Good to Me" was inspired by a love note she had written to herself while working at a restaurant. Later, her friend, who was also her producer Eric Holljes saw the message and asked its meaning. From then on, it was nothing but a fantastic journey to create a song about self-worth, learning to love yourself, and getting out of your own way.
I got a chance to hear this song. Boy, this is the vibe we all need right now! Listening to this song is like hugging yourself, knowing how to let your hair down, shake off the unneeded stress, and just being content with who you are. If you've been really hard on yourself lately, then you have to give this a listen. Drink some tea, sip while listening and light a candle while you're at it. You'll be glad you did. I know I was!
