The United States is the music capital in the world. New York City, Los Angeles, and Nashville all have artists that gravitate from all over the world, hoping to take their shot as the next "big thing." This California resident is no different. Casey Ahern has been performing for most of her life and is taking her career by storm one performance at a time. At age 16, she started a band in LA and was able to showcase her talent in live shows. From there on, it was tuning and crafting her voice and skills in order to be perceived as a serious artist. Casey's main influence getting into the music scene came from her family growing up. She listened to the Eagles, Joni Mitchell, and the Rascal Flatts.
In 2018 Casey released her very first single "And Me," and her first EP released later called "He Was Summer." Throughout the years there was more original work released that has shaped her into the artist she is growing into today. Now, 22 years old and wanting to take the next step in enhancing her career, the pandemic stalled her plans and gave her the opportunity to write more meaningful songs that truly speaks to people. Who knew there could be some light shed from 2020, but there sure is and Casey is a great example of that light. Throughout the pandemic, Casey went to her family ranch so she could recharge and find peace within the chaos the world was living in. She then began writing about her hometown "Bradley." I got a chance to listen to the song; it paints a vivid picture of her life and what she knew growing up giving us all of the small-town vibes. Casey has a lot going for her as she travels from California to Tennessee. This is a precious time for growing and flourishing and she's doing just that. She has more music in the works; the opportunities are endless for her and I'm excited to see where this journey leads her to!
