I love to listen to American Folk music. I think it can bring such a different emotion behind the lyrics that are written on paper. It brings to life the passion in the music, and this band is like no other. This trio works together endlessly to write, produce, and inspire people nationwide, and they are just getting started! Meet Conor and the Wild Hunt. They are an American folk band marking their place within this world, and I'm here for it. Between their tight harmonies, beautiful melodies, and relatable lyrics, it's hard to not follow them and their musical journey. Conor is lead vocals who can dabble with playing 15 different instruments. Chris is their drummer who also has a talent in his vocals. Lena plays the bass, along with singing harmonies, and has killer vocal skills.
They vibe together perfectly, but each of them has their own separate background, honing their craft and working hard to create authentic and raw music for their audience. Conor comes from a music family who helped shape and mold him into the artist he is today. His father was a Grammy-nominated engineer, who has given him the tools to become the best artist he can be. They use his father's connections to create the top-notch quality sound in his home studio, producing the quality sound you only hear from record labels. Chris has known how to play the drums since his adolescent years. His mentors, Frank Russo, who was his music teacher, and private teacher, Art Mckinney. Both teachers have played a role in perfecting his craft and broadening his talent throughout the years.
Lena has also been working her entire life on her music. She's been singing since she could talk and had family help shape her musical talents as well. She describes herself as the "outgoing one who always wanted to be on the stage." She learned from a young age how to play the guitar, which led to the bass and learning piano. All three of these musical talents learned so much before coming together and giving us exactly what we didn't know we'd need! Along with joining forces, Conor wants to shout out some other musicians they had the chance to collaborate with; singer Abigail Dempsey and pianist Rick Arnez. Music is a family community, and this band has a great one formed around them!
I got a chance to listen to their single "You're Not Alone." It's the song you listen to when you need that extra nudge of love and support. I connected immediately once I heard the lyrics and melody. It's essential to create a piece of art that people can relate to and connect with. The group has a lot going for them. They're moving to Nashville this month, and you know their future will be so bright. I'll link their website, Spotify, and Instagram. I highly suggest looking at their work; it's honestly that good.
